Welcome to Brenners Brew!
Hello and welcome to Brenners Brew, where we brew more than just coffee and tea, we also brew friendships, lots of fun, and whatever else we can throw in the pot to keep things interesting.
The atmosphere at Brenners Brew is warm and comfortable with a little insanity always pushing the edges. A group of wonderful folks called the "Brew Crew" stop in daily to sip and chat. Providing additional entertainment on most Friday nights, you'll find truly talented local original bands such as Next Day Blues, Ethereal, Jersey Calling, and One In The Chamber. On the second Saturday of the month it's "Poetry-Go-Round" with resident poets Renee Rasinger, John Erianne, Ian Maier and Linda Stehling of Cavalcade of Poetry, along with a few of their friends for an evening of open mic poetry, a guest poet and the poetry slam. Thanks to Linda, Brenner's Brew has been a certified National Poetry Slam venue since late Spring of 2000. Take all that, an occasional visit from some of the Delaware Valley's more established musicians (such as "Adelante", "CMC Trio", Scatman Meredith and the "Ministry of Inside Things"), along with occasional art exhibits and charity events, and the bi-weekly Writers' Forum and Brenner's Brew begins to resemble a cultural mecca!
If visiting the shop, you can relax at the counter with a cup of cappuccino, coffee or tea, catch up on local newspaper or simply watch the world go by. In the far corner, you can challenge a friend to a chess match or a game of "Sorry" or you can wander to the back of the shop to browse through Book Project vintage books. As you make your way to the back, you may want to scan the shelves to see what catches your eye - like Bone Suckin Sauce, Wine Biscuits, and even recordings by some of those truly talented local musicians.
Since opening in January, 1997, Brenners Brew has become an established part of Bridgeton, New Jerseys downtown. At the shop, we offer quality coffees and teas from around the world and specialty food items, as well as individualized baskets and gift packages. And now, through this web site, you can share our corner of the world through the "Brew Crew News" by sending us one of your own original poems to be posted there.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Brenners Brew as much as Ive enjoyed visiting with you!
Have a great day and keep sippin'!
